Do You Still Throw Spears at Each Other?

Dotted Line Productions

The art of opening one's mouth and putting one's foot in it... a witty one-man play newly written especially for George Telfer. Set on an imagined walkabout tour, Prince Philip reflects upon his role as consort to the Queen and offers opinions on a host of subjects (no pun intended!).

"DO YOU STILL THROW SPEARS AT EACH OTHER"  AS FEATURED BY QUENTIN LETTS IN THE DAILY MAIL, FRIDAY 4TH JULY  looks at the life of The Duke of Edinburgh from early years at school "...ah, Gordonstoun! if it didn't make me what I am today it played a bloody big part, ......I'm one of those ignorant bums who never went to university, and a fat lot of harm it did me" To his first meeting with Elizabeth ".......she claimed it was love at first sight, I cant remember a bloody thing about it....." and his relaitionship with the press "....bloody reptiles, they used to call me Phil the Greek.........."

In the curious postion of being forced to take a back seat while doing one of the most high profile jobs in the world, we simply see a man determined from the outset to do his duty to the best of his ability and keep on doing it. But, unfortunately, when one is born with a silver foot in one's mouth, one is from time to time propelled into the limelight rather more than one might wish!

George Telfer won Best Actor at the Buxton Fringe in 2005 for "GIELGUD - A KNIGHT IN THE THEATRE" and was nominated for best actor for "BURTON'S LAST CALL" in 2006 and again in 2007 for "STIRRING FINISH"
